The Living Green program is part of Spokane Neighborhood Action Programs, with a goal of encouraging and maybe even inspiring people to “tread lightly” on our planet.  In this site you will find a lot of information to help you do just that.

On the "Tips" page you will find several of our fact sheets addressing ways you can incorporate environmentally friendly activities into your daily lives.  There are tips addressing everything from making your own safe cleaning products to tips on how to change wasteful yard and garden practices.

See our "Links" page to find links to dozens of other websites that are particularly relevant in one’s quest to live a more sustainable life.

You will also find a schedule of upcoming events, links to past "Newsletters" and an “About us" section highlighting the history and goals of the Living Green program.

Volunteers are essential to our programs here at SNAP.  If, after cruising this site, you are interested in learning more, or participating as a volunteer, we would like to hear from you.  Please go to the aptly named "Contacts" page for our contact information.

Living Green SNAP is funded in part by grants from the Washington State Department of Ecology and the Inland Northwest Community Foundation.
Living Green means making choices in our day-to-day lives that reduce our impact on the environment and move us in the direction of a sustainable lifestyle—one that is healthy, ecologically sound, economically viable and socially just.
